InsureTech began its business in 1984 as an insurance agency and software developer. The company’s insurance agency operation transformed into a financial planning service operation as well as an agency dealing in retirement plans, life insurance and disability insurance. As a software developer, InsureTech is credited with having created the business systems for the American Professionals Alliance (a trade association), Wakeman & Costine’s North American Bed & Breakfast Directory (www.bbdirectory.com) and DataLister (a national provider of workers compensation policyholder information).

InsureTech plans to market InsureTech Pizzazz!™ to the insurance and financial services industry including insurance companies, agencies, brokers, and agents as well as financial planners, banks and members of the securities industry than also sell insurance.

In November 2001, the financial planning / insurance division and the computer software development division of InsureTech was seperated into two companies with the newly formed Wakeman Consulting, Inc. acquiring the ongoing software development opreations from InsureTech, Inc. along with a license to operate using the name of InsureTech.
